One
of the first steps towards obtaining a firearms licence, and
participating in the safe, fun and unique range of shooting sports that
SSAA NSW offers, is to complete a Safe Shooting course. This is a
mandatory requirement for anyone seeking to obtain a Firearms Licence
in NSW.
Miners 12 years or older can obtain a Minors Permit. This authorises
the minor to use firearms under the supervision of the holder of a
category A,category B or category C firearms licence for the purpose of
receiving instruction in the safe use of firearms or competing in
shooting events.
By Joining the SSAA, membership will fulfil the genuine reason provision on your licence application.
